ARTIST BIO
Lynn Bremner is a Scottish Illustrator based in Melbourne, Australia, she works under the pseudonym Salty Shoppe. Lynn works across a broad range of mediums, ranging from digital as well as traditional techniques of painting and printmaking and often combining digital and traditional. Recently Lynn has worked on murals, beer labels and magazine covers as well as taking part in numerous group exhibitions and one solo exhibition.
Her work is bold and colourful, using warm colour palettes inspired by vintage advertising and packaging. She is heavily influenced by nature and features a lot of botanical elements in almost all of her work. Lynn also takes influence from vintage signwriting and graphic design, often simplifying shapes and forms into two dimensional flat illustrations whilst maintaining a sense of balance. Lynn's work is mostly created through digital means but often utilises hand-generated textures to create a warmer, more tangible feeling to her pieces.
