ARTIST BIO
Brody Xarhakos is a multi-disciplinary artist whose foundational practice concerns itself with public space. Taking a number of principles from graffiti, such as the visual, spatial, technical, and spontaneous acts of mark-making, Brody embeds a methodical approach to the exploration of light, geometry, and transitions between the quiet and the turbulent.
His street practice explores the poetic intersection of flat space with visions of a hardened cyber-geometry, invoking the vanishing points of public and private space.
Since 2015 he has received a number of public and private commissions, working with festivals, small and large businesses, art institutions, and educational bodies. Brody's keen interest in community engagement and collaboration has lead him to facilitate painting workshops and lead large community-based projects.
